店内に置いているグランドピアノを掃除しました。汚れを落として、ブラスパーツを磨いただけでかなり好印象に生まれ変わります。

次高音域がよく歌う良い楽器です。鍵盤は８５。ショパンやリストの時代でも鍵盤数は８５で、８８使うのは唯一ラヴェルの左手のための協奏曲だけだそうです。とはいえ、現代のピアノは８８鍵で標準ですから、どう扱うかは難しいのが正直なところです。音はとっても良いので個人的な楽器につくりかえようかとも考えています。

Today work was to clean a grand piano displayed in the showroom.  Cleaning dirt and polishing brass part helps the piano’s impression much better.

The mid-treble range of the piano sounds really singing tone and nice.  It’s got 85 keys.  Even in the romantic era like Chopin and Liszt, pianos are 85 keys and all classical piano piece requires 85 except Ravel’s concerto for left hand.  Well, it’s not really convincing since today’s standard is 88 keys.  It may become my personal piano and possibly rebuilt completely.
